Flave App

Flave is an app whose goal is to support local restaurants by bringing diners’ back into the restaurants. Its main beneficiaries are restaurants who use the app to display deals that users can access when they decide to dine-in. The app incorporates gamification into the app through Flave Cash to incentivize users to dine-in and visit local restaurants.

The ask: Redesign the app’s interface to reflect both the stakeholders’ and the audience’s goals and needs.

The Team

Jessica Davis, Briona Jones, Matt Lauman and Stefan Miller

When: January 2020 – May 2020

The main landing page for the Flave Feed includes users’ posts of food from restaurants and restaurant promotions.

How: This interface was created using Figma where my teammates and I designed the interface beginning with paper prototypes, then low fidelity prototypes to this high-fidelity prototype.

What we learned: the benefits of researching who your client is, what their company goals are, and applying their goals with what appeals the user. We learned also how to introduce new behaviors within a familiar interface that allows the user to have an easier time adjusting to the newness of Flave.
